Why Do Allergies Cause Sore Throats?

Your body is always producing mucus. In fact, you produce 1.5L of mucus every single day, but you swallow most of it, which is totally normal. However, if you suffer from allergies, your body will produce even more mucus, and if it starts to drip down your throat, it will cause you to start to cough. A post-nasal drip can cause problems swallowing as well, and if you’re breathing with your mouth open, you’ll exacerbate the problem further.

If your symptoms become unbearable, then don’t hesitate to contact your local allergy specialist about your sore throat.
