Feeling great after in-office Sinus procedure

Dr. Young saved my life!

We are writing this review of Dr. Paul Young following the wonderful experience we had with his treatment of our son. Our son was experiencing chronic nose bleeds. We were able to obtain an appointment quickly and the office staff was extremely polite and helpful.

Dr. Young was so personable and caring. He spent much time with us and was very thorough and comprehensive in his examination and treatment of our son. He answered all of our questions, gave us clear and easy to understand explanations and directions and did not make us feel rushed.

He first suggested the most minimally invasive treatments and did not try to advocate for surgery without attempting other treatments first. Our son ended up having to have his nose cauterized and was very anxious about the procedure. Dr. Young made the experience as pleasant as possible and made extraordinary efforts to put our son at ease.

Our son received excellent care from Dr. Young and his staff and we can not recommend him and his practice more highly.

My husband, Richard Laub, was recently treated by Dr. Young, and had this to say:

My experience as a patient of Dr. Paul Young has been entirely satisfactory. He is knowledgeable, caring, pro-active, and takes pains to establish clear communication between patient and doctor. While under his care, I felt that I had his complete attention, regardless of the time involved.

In brief, Dr. Young is what I would hope for in a physician.

Patient completes Balloon Sinus Dilation procedure

Director of ER about Dr. Paul Young

Dr. Young had a full roster of patients, but took the time to listen to us, and provide a thorough exam as if there were not any other patients waiting to see him. Dr. Young has an excellent bedside manner, is extremely competent, listens attentively, is intuitive, and clearly understands the nature of the problem before him. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Dr. Young. He is capable of making a patient feel relaxed and quickly put our minds at ease. It was obvious, and reassuring to see that he is highly skilled in dealing with issues relating to ENT and beyond.

Dr Young was so thorough and reassuring! His staff was friendly and helpful!
The office is so “state-of the -art” and has an instantly relaxing feel. He really went above and beyond for me, taking the time to explain exactly what procedures he was performing, what the issues were, and what steps to take to remedy the situation. He even uncovered issues that I wasnt yet aware of, and I was so glad to have it brought to my attention and dealt with. Dr Young gives you the time of day, something so hard to find today! I highly recommend Dr Young!

3 Easy Ways to Sleep Better with Allergies

You haven’t noticed your allergies all day until you’re ready to go to bed when suddenly your symptoms hit you. With a runny nose and itchy eyes, how are you ever going to get any sleep? As it turns out, yes, allergy levels in Buffalo, NY tend to rise at night. While pollen levels are highest in the morning, the bedroom tends to aggravate symptoms.

Are You Really Allergic or Just Intolerant?

Just because you’re intolerant to a food doesn’t mean you’re allergic. Find out whether you need to visit the allergy doctor in Buffalo, NY. | Just because you feel sick when you eat a certain food doesn’t necessarily mean you’re allergic to it. While your symptoms may be more or less the same either way, differing perhaps only by degree, an intolerance and an allergy are two totally different things. While an intolerance may put your body in discomfort, an allergy will mobilize your entire immune system. If you’re planning to visit the allergy doctor in Buffalo, NY, you’ll want to keep this difference in mind.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT EAR SAFETY BEFORE SAYING BON VOYAGE

How to Protect Your Ears During a Flight | You may have packed your bags and booked your hotel, but no trip to the travel agency can teach you how to protect your ears during a flight. Everyone experiences ear discomfort on airplanes because of the rapid change in air pressure during ascent and descent. Thankfully, though, there are ways to, if not prevent the issue entirely, at least mitigate the pain.

ALWAYS CONGESTED? IT MIGHT BE A DEVIATED SEPTUM

The septum is a thin wall made of cartilage and bone that separates the nasal cavity into two chambers and divides the airflow directing it to two directions. Occasionally, the septum will deviate to one side or the other, or both, and therefore block the airflow causing you congestion. Thankfully, a deviated septum and its correction are fairly common, so if you feel like your nasal cavity is constantly obstructed due to an abnormal septum, you are in good company.

The hard-to-swallow facts about your salivary glands!

THE SALIVARY GLAND SYSTEM | A person’s health can be thoroughly evaluated just in their saliva alone! Though saliva is mostly comprised of water, it also contains hormones, minerals, enzymes and proteins, plus antibacterial and other substances that are prime indicators of whether or not we’re in optimal condition. Things like our dental health and our body’s pH balance are directly connected to our salivary glands.

What to Expect From an Allergist in Buffalo, NY

Nervous for your first visit to the allergist in Buffalo, NY? Don’t be! Here’s what to expect and how to best prepare for your upcoming appointment.

What Does a WNY ENT Doctor Do?

Not quite sure what body part is the ENT? You can’t find ENT’s anywhere on your body because the name is an acronym. ENT stands for ear, nose, and throat, and physicians associated with this branch of medical science are known as otolaryngologists. Below, we talk more about what a WNY ENT doctor does on a regular basis, what you can expect from your first appointment, and what kind of surgeries you might expect.

Do I Need an ENT Specialist in WNY for Tinnitus?

Is this just another case of the sniffles that some homemade chicken soup and a box of tissues can solve, or is it something else? You don’t want to confuse the common cold with a sinus infection. Searching for a “sinus doctor near me”? Hold on a second to see whether you need to contact a specialist or you’ll recover with just a bit of TLC.

Ear infection vs. fluid in the ear, which one is it?

Chronic ear infections, or otitis media, is a common childhood illness. As we age, our anatomy changes allowing for better drainage from the inner ear, which decreases our risk for infection. Most children will have less frequent infections by middle adolescence. It...

The Throbbing Truth About Earaches

The most common type of earache is otitis media which involves inflammation and infection of the middle ear. The narrow channel that connects the inside of the ear to the back of the throat is called a eustachian tube. When there is an accumulation of mucus and pus behind the eardrum, the eustachian tube becomes blocked. As a sudden infection occurs, it is called acute otitis media.
If earaches go untreated or improperly treated, fluid can linger within the ear for weeks. This condition is known as otitis media with effusion, and often occurs in ear infections that are in the recovery process. There are serious consequences to having chronic earaches, the worst of which is potential hearing loss.
